All-Star Game — Hotels, Transport & Week Planner
Your concierge guide to All-Star week: where to stay, how to move, what to wear, and how to pace the weekend events.
All-Star week turns the host city’s arena district into a festival of skills challenges, concerts, sponsor lounges, pop-ups, and late-night hospitality. Think walkable cores, temporary road closures, and heavy rideshare demand around tip-off and post-show surges. Our approach: anchor you near rail or within a short walk of the arena and major fan zones so the weekend feels effortless.
We place guests in 4–5★ hotels across the arena core and adjoining neighborhoods—prioritizing properties with reliable transit, late-night dining, and swift security flows. Many travelers split the stay: city-center for Friday/Saturday activations, then a quieter luxe property for Sunday night recovery and Monday departures.
Getting around: plan for rail + foot as your default. Most host cities run extended hours on their metro or light-rail during All-Star; use stations one stop beyond the arena to bypass crowd spikes. Expect geofenced rideshare zones after headline events—walking 10–15 minutes to an outer street before requesting pickup typically beats the main corral. If driving, book garage parking in advance and enter early; some streets convert to pedestrian-only during peak windows.
Neighborhoods to know: the arena district for pre-game buzz and quick entries; an arts/warehouse quarter for chef-driven dining and late-night sets; and a financial/uptown zone for flagship hotels and calmer mornings. Our All-Star Game Hotels page maps options to rail lines and walking times so you can choose vibe over commute.
What to wear: elevated streetwear rules the weekend—think smart denim or tailored joggers, knit polos or statement tees under a bomber or blazer, and comfortable sneakers for concourses. Arenas run cool: bring a light layer. Some lounges lean business-casual; team or player jerseys are welcome at fan events. Stadium/arena clear-bag policies are common—pack accordingly.
Tickets & seating: expect lower-bowl energy, club levels with lounge access, and premium suites with curated F&B. For Skills/3-Point/Dunk night, corner and baseline angles can be spectacular; for the Game, center sections bring the best overall sightlines. We’ll sanity-check row numbers, ingress gates, and the fastest post-event route based on your seats.
Sample weekend flow: Friday arrivals + Celebrity Game and welcome sets; Saturday Skills Challenge, 3-Point, and Dunk Contest with late-night showcases; Sunday All-Star Game with timed transfers and post-game celebrations; Monday sleep-in, brunch, departures.
